If They Had Hit The Captiol

Unless you have been living in a cave (unless the cave is in Afghanistan) you are aware that on September 11th, 2001 terrorists hijacked four planes and flew them into buildings. Two of those buildings were the Twin Towers in New york and the third was the Pentagon. Reports indicate the plane that hit the Pentagon was destined for the White House but the terrorist flying it could not find the White House so he hit the Pentagon instead. The fourth plane, it is believed, was headed for the Capitol. The selfless acts of some brave people thwarted that plan and the plane crashed in Pennsylvania.

Since that time the world has changed and we find ourselves involved in a global war on terrorism with troops, having defeated the Taliban in Afghanistan, now engaging the enemy in Iraq. When the war plan was revealed most every Democrat was in favor of it. Despite their original motives, there is no denying that that was not the time to appear weak on our national security. Now, the Democrats are looking for ways to tell us they really did not support the war effort or that they were "fooled" by the intelligence (though it is not hard to see why intelligence fooled a Democrat). Many of them are now calling for the immediate removal of our troops from Iraq and they are constantly digging up some new blockbuster conspiracy with which to attach the word "impeachment."

I have tried to figure out why the Democrats are so hell bent on destroying the very fabric of our lives by opening us to more attacks. I have not been able to find an answer but my thoughts wandered to the idea that things would be different with them if that last plane had actually hit the Capitol. Many of our elected leaders would have been killed or seriously injured except of course Kennedy and Kerry. Drunks take trauma pretty well and Kerry's record shows he was hardly ever present to do his job. Excluding them, it is safe to say that many people would have perished. I wonder how the Democrats would have felt if many of their colleagues had been killed in the attack.

Better yet, how would they feel if the plane fell short and hit the houses in which their families reside? How about if it hit the school where their children were in attendance? I imagine that we would hear a different tune from them because it would be more personal. Well the attacks on this country are personal to those of us who, regardless of whether we were directly affected or not, have strong feelings about the land we call our home. We are a great nation because great citizens have risked everything to keep us safe and secure. It is never about an individual it is about the nation.

With the Democrats the entire political scene seems to be about them. They are concerned about how they look and how they can get back into office. Power is more important to them than the security of our homeland and they will attempt to destroy anyone who gets in the way of their quest for power. The idea that Senators would cheer and announce "We killed the Patriot Act" is beyond comprehension. One does not have to agree with the Act and there is certainly a forum for debate but the joy at defeating a method of keeping us safe only demonstrates the contempt they have for the safety and security of this country and the people in it.

We will, of course, never know how the Congress would have acted because a few brave souls put their well being behind the greater good of the nation and helped to lessen a tragedy. It is time for the Democrats to look at the people who, quite possibly, saved their lives, and learn a lesson and that lesson is that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. They needs to get in the game and stop playing politics with the security of our nation.

The Dog's House: Fry The Guy Or Is It "Cook The Took?"

Big Dog's Weblog: Fry The Guy Or Is It "Cook The Took?"

Fry The Guy Or Is It "Cook The Took?"

It looks like the end of the line is near for Stanley "Tookie" Williams, the founder of the Crips who is sitting on death row for murdering four people a long time ago. This thug has been in jail for a long time and now he has a following of idiot celebrities who want him spared. These people care more for the worthless criminal than they do for the families of the four people he murdered. They care about this guy who used a shotgun , at close range, to shoot people in the back so they could not testify to the crime. When he went to jail, he tried to have witnesses killed by arranging it from his cell.

Now we have all these folks out telling us how he has written children's books telling them not to join gangs. We are told that he is doing nice things, blah, blah. He is not being punished for the nice things he might be doing now, he is being punished for the murders he committed in the past. There is no trade off system where you can say I am doing good now so erase my punishment for things I did in the past. It does not work that way. Snoop Dogg is out there telling everyone how we should save Tookie because Took' influences Snoop and Snoop influences a lot of people. Of course, Snoop can do this from outside jail because he beat his murder rap. But let us look at some of the lyrics that Took' inspired Snoop to write:

Yeah oh yeah that's that nigga
Nigga roll up on the side of him man
Roll your window down
Man hand me my motherf**kin Glock man gimme another clip
Cuz I'm gonna smoke this fool
Yeah roll the windows down
Yeah, OK there you go
Ay man, you Snoop Dogg?

Nice song about killing someone. This is exactly the kind of influence that society wants its writers of children's books to have. Isn't it great? I say we put Tookie Williams to death for the Four murders he committed and move on with our lives. I do not give a rip about him or what he has done. I care about the families who are looking for closure when the man who laughed while their loved ones lay dying takes his last breath.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is deciding whether or not to grant clemency in this case. He has been more liberal that not throughout his career and he has stated that he dreads this decision. Arnold, be the tough guy you portray in the movies and deny the request. Have a backbone and do not bow down to the people who want to save the life of a killer.

Now there is word out that there will be riots if Tookie is put to death. This is no doubt another example of the influence he has on people. Instead of acting civilized they will riot to protest (this is not the idea of peaceful protest) the decision. If I were the police chief I would put out a news release that no one will be arrested for rioting. I would inform the public that my officers have instructions to shoot and kill anyone involved in a riot. Society can not be weak and bow to the pressure of a potential riot. To do so will tell rioters that whenever they do not agree with something all they have to do is threaten to riot and they will get their way. Schwarzenegger could actually use it to his advantage by saying he was strongly considering clemency but with the threats of riots he can not do that or he will have caved to threats of violence. This will put it all back on the rioters.

One thing is for certain and that is the police need to take a strong stand against violence if they execute Tookie. Shoot to kill anyone involved in the riot. Then, others with the same ideas will think twice before they decide to use violence to get their way.

Arnold, you wanted to be Governor to handle the tough things that needed to be done to get things right in California. If you let Tookie Williams live, you will have shown that you do not have the guts to be Governor and that you should be replaced. As for any higher office, you can forget that if you let this vermin live.

As for Tookie, if he is so tough and such a bad gangsta' then he should take his punishment like a man. No, creeps like him will laugh at people who beg for their lives just before they shoot them. Then these monsters will laugh and mimic the sounds of the dying victims. They will go to their gang members and brag about how tough they were because they shot an unarmed, terrified person in the back. They will laugh recounting the pleas for mercy and they will laugh at the sounds made by the dying so that their gang members will be emboldened to go kill. Then when these cowards are caught and convicted and subsequently sentenced to death, they beg for their lives like the people they made fun of. The only difference is that they get to beg level upon level of bureaucrat who might just show mercy, more mercy than the coward showed to his victims. No, Tookie Williams had his 20 or so years of begging and he has all the stars out singing him praise but it is over and it is time for the switch to be thrown.

My only regret is that Williams will get a lethal injection and die peacefully. The electric chair would have been more appropriate for this subhuman piece of scum.

Read the riot alert here.
